Each spring, just before the curtain rises on Ensemble Ballet Theatre’s story ballet, audiences are treated to something extra, something surprising.
Artistic Director McKenna Sevruk curates a special supplemental performance to be shown before the main production. This unique piece, typically no longer than twenty minutes, features our senior Performance Division dancers and offers a dynamic contrast to the classical ballet that follows.
Unlike our full-length ballets, this opening number steps outside traditional storytelling. It embraces contemporary, modern, and jazz styles, giving dancers the chance to stretch creatively and technically in new directions. These performances are visually striking and emotionally compelling, often abstract, sometimes bold, and always memorable.
Whether it’s a haunting modern piece or a vibrant jazz number, this supplemental performance reminds us that dance has many voices, and Ensemble Ballet Theatre is proud to showcase them all.
Join us this weekend for Once Upon A Time and be treated to the spring supplemental... ✨ Imaginarium ✨, you won’t want to miss this special addition to the program.
