Halloween Spirit Week at the Studio!

We’re so excited to celebrate the season with a Spirit Week! Each day has a special theme designed to let our dancers show off their creativity, personality, and studio spirit. Participation is completely optional, dancers can join in for every day, or just pick their favorites!

Here’s a look at what’s coming up and some ideas to help you get inspired:

Monday: Crazy Bun Day

Let your hair take center stage!

💡 Ideas:

• Colorful Scrunchies & Ribbons – stack multiple scrunchies or wrap ribbons around your bun.

• Upside-Down Ponytail Bun – flip your head over, braid or twist from the bottom up, then finish in a bun.

• Double Buns (Space Buns) – two high buns on either side of your head.

• Bubble Ponytail – use elastics every few inches down your ponytail to make “bubbles.”

• Wacky Parting – zigzag part with hair slicked into pigtails or braids.

• Halloween Accessories – mini spider rings, pumpkin clips, bat bows, or headbands with ears/horns.

• Messy Bun with Fun Pins – load up your usual bun with a mix of colorful bobby pins or barrettes.

• Braids Galore – several small braids mixed in with your regular bun or ponytail.

Tuesday: Showcase Costume Day

Bring new life to your showcase costumes! Pull out a favorite tutu, skirt, or accessory from a past performance and wear it proudly.

💡 Ideas: 

Pair an old jazz costume skirt with your current leotard, wear an old headpiece again, or layer a ballet tutu over your tights for a throwback look.

Wednesday: Anything But a Dance Bag Day

Bring your dance gear in something fun and unexpected. Instead of your usual dance bag, think outside the box, literally!

💡 Ideas: 

A pumpkin bucket, a pillowcase, a reusable grocery tote, a decorated cardboard box, or even a suitcase on wheels.

Thursday: Monochrome Magic Day 🌈

Choose your favorite color and commit to it head-to-toe! Dancers can coordinate leotards, skirts, tights, and warm-ups in one solid color.

💡 Ideas: 

All pink or all black! Pair your leotard with a matching skirt, or keep it simple with a solid color leo!

Friday: Halloween Costume Day 🎭

End the week with a little Halloween flair! Come to class in your favorite costume—just make sure you can still dance safely.

💡 Ideas: 

A black cat (leotard + ears), a ballerina princess, a pumpkin tutu, or a character-inspired look (as long as it’s dance-friendly and easy to move in).

A Few Reminders

• Spirit Week is completely optional. Dancers can participate in one day, a few days, or all five!

• Please keep costumes dance-appropriate so you can move comfortably in class.
