Meet the Instructors

Dammiel Cruz

Dammiel Cruz-Garrido (he/him) is from Queens, New York. He studied on full scholarship at the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and he attended summer courses at

Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Boston Ballet. He was the recipient of the Mae. L. Wien Award and Danish American Nationals Cultural Exchange (DANCE) scholarship. He joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2016 and was promoted to corps de ballet later that year. He became a soloist in 2022.


Macy Scott

Macy started dancing at 4 years old and competing at 8, training extensively in a diverse range of styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She danced on the Skyline High School Dance Team for 2 years, where she was co-captain her senior year and helped lead the team to their first ever state championship victory in the Dance category in 2019. After graduating from Skyline that same year, Macy continued her dance journey at Vanderbilt University, where she earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Her four years as a member of the Vanderbilt Dance Team included performances at SEC football, basketball, soccer, and baseball games, as well as a 4th place finish in the Spirit Rally division at NDA Nationals in 2023 – which was also the program’s first appearance at college nationals. Macy was named to the E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team her senior year, along with being voted Veteran of the Year and Best All Around by her teammates.  Currently, Macy is working as a dance educator and choreographer in the Issaquah/Sammamish area for studios and high school dance teams. Simultaneously, she is a professional dancer for the NFL and enjoys performing at football games and community events all year round.


Ramona Cachinero

Born in Australia, Ramona Cachinero moved to Spain at the age of three and later to the United States at nine. She trained under Margaret “Maggie” Banks at the Nevada Festival Ballet School and joined the company at just 14 years old. She continued her training at the Houston Ballet Academy and later earned a full scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. As a professional dancer, Ramona has performed with esteemed companies such as Dayton Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Queensland, Australian Theatre Ballet, Tasmanian Classical Ballet, South Florida Ballet Theatre, and Nevada Ballet Theatre. She later danced as a principal dancer with Ohio Dance Theatre and Sierra Nevada Ballet. Since relocating to Seattle, she has danced with Ballet Bellevue and 127th St Dance Company.

Most recently, Ramona was featured on HBO Max’s Second Chance Stage.

Ramona is a dedicated advocate for body positivity and inclusivity in the ballet world. She believes that dance should be accessible to everyone and is committed to breaking stereotypes within the industry.


Jacque Guyette

A ballet dancer turned doctor, Jacque began dancing at two years old in her very first ballet class. Here this lifelong passion was ignited, as she continued to train, perform and audition through the studio she studied with through high school graduation. She pursued dance at a collegiate level, graduating from UW Seattle with a double major in Dance and Public Health. While studying in undergrad, an opportunity to step into the ballroom scene was presented, and she was fortunate enough to even further expand her knowledgeable genre. She taught ballroom dancing professionally for ten years, in which she won many dance awards and competitions, but the most notable accolade in 2019 achieving Top Teacher in the world for the company. As scholastic endeavors continued, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with an emphasis on Performance Therapy in dance domains. As she further pursues her PT practice, she strives to continue to serve dancers of the community to be more healthy, well-informed and empowered to better prevent injuries, while fostering a safe place to land for rehabilitation should physical limitations arise. She is thrilled to share her time,  knowledge and respect for this beautiful artform with Ensemble Ballet Theatre.


Emily Aslin

Emily Aslin (she/her) is a New York-based choreographer and dance artist. Emily is the founder of Aslin Projects, a company member with LaneCoArts, artistic associate with Synchronous, and freelances with Kizuna Dance and other projects. As a Seattle native, Emily trained with Ensemble Ballet Theatre and Spectrum Dance Theater under Donald Byrd and subsequently worked with choreographers and artists such as Jamar Roberts, Cameron McKinney, Felix Landerer, Marion Sparber, Lane Gifford, and Alexander Anderson. Emily recently traveled to Japan with Kizuna Dance for a residency under the U.S.-Japan Friendship Commission and performed the world premiere of “No Telling What” with LaneCoArts at Peridance Center.


Emily studied choreography under Eva Stone and choreographed her first pieces at Spectrum Dance Theater. She has presented her work “Recognition” at Spark Festival 2023 and “Look, Not Found” at The Craft NY. Emily was an artist in residence at Carroll Hall in February 2024. She also co-choreographed UTILITY with Stephanie Shin for Synchronous and Emissary Quartet which premiered at the Blue Building in April 2024. Emily is currently creating an evening length choreography to premiere in Fall 2025. The first duet of that larger piece, “Dint: Research I”, premiered at the SHIFT festival at 14 St. Y in February 2025 and was performed again at the 92Y Future Dance Festival in April 2025.



Sasha Voyt

Sasha Voyt is a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher originally from Russia. Her dance journey began with ballroom and international latin dance and later led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the University of Culture and Arts in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Throughout her career, Sasha has had the opportunity to work with Broadway choreographers such as Warren Carlyle, Jason Sparks, Luis Salgado, and Sarah O’Gleby. She has performed at Radio City Hall, NYC and worked as a performer for Norwegian Cruise Lines, appeared in various TV shows and music videos. These diverse experiences have allowed her to perform in a wide range of settings, from theater productions to commercials, and even major global events like the Olympic Games Grand Opening. 


As a choreographer, Sasha has created routines for numerous productions, including Samba Urbana for Genting Highlands Theme Park in Malaysia.

Sasha is deeply passionate about teaching and helping students grow in their technique, creativity, and self-expression through movement. Her teaching approach focuses on encouragement, fun, and a genuine care to each student's personal development.

Currently, Sasha is a full-time performer at Can Can Culinary Cabaret in Seattle, while also teaching dance classes and mentoring dancers of all levels.

She is excited to work with the students at the upcoming summer intensive and looks forward to helping them reach their full potential.



Ashley Rivette

Ashley Rivette is originally from the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area. She began her training in Stuttgart, Germany, where her family was stationed for eight years. In 2021, Rivette received a BFA in Dance from Shenandoah Conservatory. She apprenticed with Christopher K. Morgan & Artists during their 2019 and 2020 seasons. After graduating from Shenandoah Conservatory, Ashley joined DanceWorks Chicago (DWC) under the direction of Julie Nakagawa for two seasons. Ashley has supplemented her training with intensives and workshops by Flock, Sydney Dance Company, PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, Perry Mansfield, Yin Yue Dance Company, and BARE Dance Company. In Fall 2023, she made her Lyric Opera Chicago debut as a dancer in Janáček’s Jenůfa, choreographed by Teresa Rotemberg (Noelle Kayser, Ballet Mistress). Rivette was a founding member of Boykin Dance Project as well as an administrative assistant under the direction of Brian Josiah Martinez. Currently, Ashley is a dancer with Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance.



Angela Robinson

Angela began her ballet training at the age of eight with the San Francisco Ballet School, where she studied under esteemed teachers including Irena Jacobson, Lola De Avila, Pascale Leroy, Larisa Sklyanskaya, George Esquivel, and Ricardo Bustamante. She also trained privately with Edward Ellison, former soloist with San Francisco Ballet and master teacher at Ellison Ballet. During her nine years at SFBS, Angela performed annually in The Nutcracker and the Student Spring Showcase.


Throughout high school, she remained active in dance, voice, and theater programs, attending prestigious summer intensives including those at San Francisco Ballet School, Boston Ballet School, Berkeley Ballet Theatre, and the Victoria Morgan Ballet Workshop. She later continued her studies with the Professional Ballet School and performed with Peninsula Ballet Theatre.


Angela broadened her artistic foundation through collegiate coursework in choreography and dance history while earning her pharmacy technician certification. She has performed with local companies such as Emerald Ballet Theatre, Ballet Bellevue, Inception Dance Theater, Dry Bones Collective, Katy Hagelin Dance Project, and the touring cast of The Land of Sweets Burlesque Nutcracker. In 2020, she starred in and choreographed her first dance film, Concord.


Angela is an ABT® Certified Teacher, having completed the ABT® National Training Curriculum for Pre-Primary through Level 5, and has attended additional intensives in Levels 6, 7, and Partnering. She is also a proud Project Plié Master Class Instructor and partners with her local Boys & Girls Clubs to promote ballet education and accessibility.


Angela has served as a faculty teacher at Dance Premier, Stanza Performing Arts, Vibe Dance Studio, Auburn Dance Academy, Evergreen City Ballet, Revolution Dance Factory, and Glass House Dance. She has also been invited as a guest teacher for master classes and summer intensives at Momentum Dance Academy, Ensemble Ballet Theatre, Ignite Yoga and Dance, Issaquah Dance Theater, and ARC School of Ballet.


Her teaching specialties include intermediate and advanced ballet technique, pre-pointe and pointe training, and choreography. Angela is also a certified makeup artist with a focus on long-lasting, anti-aging stage makeup.


Outside the studio, Angela is a model, certified pharmacy technician, and breeder/handler of French Bulldogs and Bulldogs in AKC conformation. She also runs her own beauty business, 4Ever Glam Kisses, where she shares her passion for skincare and cosmetics as a SeneGence distributor.



Emma Neilson

Emma Neilson started dancing at age 4, when she first started studying Scottish Highland Dance. She danced competitively throughout the greater Northwest until the age of 8, winning numerous medals and awards and passing several medal tests through the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance (SDTA). She then moved into competitive figure skating for four years, and during this time took her very first ballet class at age 13. She trained professionally at the International Ballet Academy (IBA) in Bellevue, WA under the direction of Vera Altunina and Francois Serre y Berga. Emma performed with the International Ballet Theatre, resident company of IBA, dancing roles in The Nutcracker and Don Quixote. She also spent summers training at Whitman’s Summer Dance Lab, Summer at Cornish at Cornish College for the Arts, and IBA’s Summer Program. She graduated from high school and Shoreline Community College in 2017 with her AA in Psychology. Emma is currently a Seattle based freelance dance artist, and has performed professionally with Dance Conservatory Seattle, Westlake Dance Center, The Guild Dance Company, Evoke Productions’ Full Tilt as well as guesting with local ballet studios and other independently produced projects.


Emma is also a Certified American Barre Technique Instructor and a Certified Flexistretcher Instructor. She has taught at local studios Northwest Ballet Center, Body Language Studio, and International Ballet Academy.



Kyra Westrich

Kyra Westrich has been dancing for 13 years, beginning her training at Infinity Dance Academy in Lynden, Washington. Throughout her dance training, she furthered her education by attending numerous conventions, which helped shape her versatility and deepen her technical foundation. She is currently studying digital design with a minor in dance at Grand Canyon University, where she continues to grow as both a performer and choreographer. With a primary focus in modern and contemporary styles, she is also trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. In the classroom, she creates a space that is safe and open for exploration—encouraging dancers to take risks, make mistakes, and embrace the process, knowing that is where true growth happens. She seeks to create work that moves people, inviting audiences to feel, reflect, and connect through the shared language of movement.



Serene Wong

Serene Wong was born in Newport Beach, CA and began her early ballet education at Huntington Academy of Dance in Southern California, where she completed Cecchetti USA examinations through Grade 5. She received her pre-professional training in classical ballet, modern, jazz, flamenco, and character styles at International Ballet Academy in Bellevue, WA, before attending the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater in 2020. During these years, she received additional training from Houston Ballet Academy, American Ballet Theatre School, the School of Philadelphia Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet School. In 2022, Serene returned to Seattle to join Spectrum Dance Theater under the direction of Donald Byrd, where she has danced for the past three seasons. Alongside the performance season, she teaches ballet and modern in the greater Seattle area and has guest performed with International Ballet Theater, Chamber Dance Company, and Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theater. Most recently, Serene graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Linguistics, minoring in Data Science.
